Top 5 Cafes in Canmore

I am a coffee addict and a travel junkie. What a combination! The smell of freshly roasting beans, the sound of coffee percolating and the taste of the hot creamy brew when it surrounds my tongue; puts me into an energized trance! One of my favorite things to do is to explore different regions and taste what black brew is bubbling in their barista machines.

As you can imagine, I’ve tasted a lot of different coffees. So much so, my darling red blood cells are probably tainted a deep, dark cocoa brown. Although, my doctor sternly encourages me to give it up, I can’t. I’ve already come this far Doc! Despite doctors’ orders, I’ve dedicated my life to finding the best brews in Canada. Why’s that good for you? So you don’t have to! You can sip with pleasure and confidence, knowing the selected cafes are tried, tested and approved by Canada’s biggest coffee addict!

At the moment, I’m exploring the beautiful region of Canmore, in Alberta. With over 300 days of sun, you can enjoy the finest brews in some of the sunniest weather, exploring some of the most spectacular scenery Canada has to offer! Now that sounds brew-licious, don’t you think?

Beamers:

The atmosphere in Beamer’s rocks! It’s a bustling cafe, with some solid coffee.

The Bagel Co:

What better accompaniment to your coffee then a fresh-baked bagel smothered with a slab of silky cream cheese? Go for the bagels, stay for the coffee!

Communitea Cafe

This is where the locals go! They have one of the biggest selections of teas in Canmore, and also one of the best Americanos. They also have healthy lunches and snacks to counteract the effects of over caffeinating.

Harvest Cafe

A favorite on many of the forums, Harvest Cafe serves breakfast, brunch, tea and delicious coffee, all at a great price point.

Mountain Mercato

This cafe is more touristy and expensive, but well worth the extra dollars. It has a European flare with equally matching dark brews. Mountain Mercato excites me because they peculate their coffee just like in Italy and Spain.

And yes there are a couple Starbucks in Canmore, but as all you caffeine junkies know, Starbucks isn’t coffee! So break out of your comfort zone and come explore some incredible cafes, with equally authentic coffee. And after your caffeine crash, have a nap and stay the night at Blackstone Canmore rentals.
